5 Questions with REBEL Client Kat

5 Questions with REBEL Client Kat | Blog by The REBEL Workout

You know what’s awesome? How many strong, independent, INCREDIBLE women REBELS we have! This firecracker is Kat, and she’s our REBEL Client Spotlight this week!

Kat grew up in a small mountain town in Southwestern Colorado.  As such, she had a strong urge to travel the world and learn everything possible about other cultures.  As an undergraduate, she studied in the Netherlands and Germany and traveled to Peru, Italy, and Spain.  As a graduate, Kat studied in Cuba and traveled to Japan.  She now work as a professor in Gender, Women, and Sexualities Studies, which has afforded her the opportunity travel to Morocco, Serbia, and Portugal.

Kat joined REBEL a little over a year ago because it's conveniently located, but continues to stay with REBEL because of the 1) quality instructors, who are energetic, fun, and thoughtful, 2) the small class sizes that allow for personalized attention, and 3) the general feel for the space, which is well-lit and clean.

1. What does a typical day in your life look like?

I work in an academic setting, so my day begins relatively early with a short walk with my aging dog (Shiva), a bike ride to campus, and some time in the classroom or in my office advising students on their degree plans. Once I get home I either go to the REBEL studio or work on trying to publish my research.

2. Go-to pre- and post-workout snack?

My imaginary go-to snack is healthy (i.e. almonds and vegetables), but in all reality, I grab what is convenient for me at the time (i.e. brussels sprouts, fried rice, beer).

3. What results have you seen since becoming a REBEL?

I started seeing results within the first six months - stronger legs, better posture, and higher endurance. What I have enjoyed most, though, is the amount of stress relief TRW has helped me achieve.

4. Favorite way to sweat outside of TRW?

On a beach with a cold drink ;).

5. What's the best thing about being a REBEL?

Being pushed to my limits with the knowledge that REBEL instructors know what they are doing and that they aren’t really trying to kill me, even when it feels like it.
