What A REBEL Nutritionist Eats In A Day

Have you ever wondered what a nutritionist actually eats in a day?

We sat down with one of our beautiful in-studio nutritionists, Heidi Hamill, to find out what a day in her life looks like, nutrition wise.

I wake up early for work so I make Earl Grey tea (from The Tea Spot from Boulder) with real coconut milk, brain octane and collagen - the super fats buffer the caffeine on my empty stomach and keep me satiated until I have a break after my first couple sessions, and it's DELICIOUS! Way better than coffee. :)

Around 9 or 10am, I have a strip of bacon (nitrite/nitrate and sugar free) with half an avocado, a hard-boiled egg and a small handful of berries - good fat, protein and a lil' sweet treat of anti-oxidants.

I eat a late lunch of my newest fresh and favorite Vietnamese Chicken Salad: a bunch of fresh chopped greens and cabbage, green onions, carrots, jicama, cucumbers, the 2nd half of avocado from breakfast, basil, cilantro and mint with a homemade dressing of apple cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, fish sauce, red chili, raw honey and lime juice - so fresh, so crunchy and flavorful and a great way to get lots of greens in! LOVE THIS RECIPE from The Urban Poser. Seriously, I make it all the time.

Dinner is usually light with a small portion of roasted root vegetables in grass-fed ghee and a hearty mug of homemade bone broth.

I am not a snacker, but when I do it’s usually a small portion of sprouted nuts, paleo granola or fresh ground almond butter with half an apple OR a Rowdy Mermaid Kombucha or WTRMLN WTR.

Occasional indulgence? Alter Eco Blackout dark chocolate.

I am a super hydrator - I’m never without my water bottle, and my biggest meal of the day is usually lunch. If I'm hungry late in the evening, I will make Sweet & Spicy Good Earth tea with a spoonful of coconut oil, YUM!
